'Fallen' explores physical intimacy between a derelict boudoir grand piano and the female body. Primarily a study of shape, the underlating curves and circular resonating chambers of the piano's interior surface are juxtaposed with female body parts. Just as the musician, in praciting and performing, strives for the sensation of physical unity with the piano, so in 'Fallen' the body and piano are shown to be in an intertwining relationship. It is through this striving for a sense of physical oneness between subject and object that difference and otherness ultimately emerge.
